The Sul Ross statue is located at Texas A&M University. When Ross was president of the the school, students were invited to speak with him on a daily basis about whatever happened to be on thier minds, only requiring a penny for his thoughts. The tradition continues as current students leave a penny at the feet of the statue for good luck on exams.
